Sat Oct 2 - Kim Richey Band w/Mando Saenz - The Evening Muse
You don't get much better than the heavenly voice of Ms. Kim Richey. I've been waiting a long time for her to get to the Evening Muse, and she & the band (Neilson Hubbard & Dan Mitchell) played to a nearly sold-out crowd just beautifully. Everyone there hung on to every word and you could hear them silently hoping she'd play some of their favorite songs (me included), but there was only so much time for her to play. Sadly, she left all too soon. Lucky for everyone there, our friend and amazing singer-songwriter Mando Saenz, longtime friend and co-writer with Kim, opened the evening to this same, respectful crowd. As anticipated, they welcomed him warmly and he made a lot of new fans. I love these kinds of nights. Thanks to Monty Chandler for these wonderful photos!
