Sat Nov 20 - Recovery Coffeehouse w/Rick Spreitzer &; Tyler Ramsey w/Justin Fedor & -E Muse
Every other month, Rick Spreitzer hosts a free, alcohol-free afternoon of acoustic music either performed by him with friends or others in the round. He also welcomes clients and visitors to get up and jam, sing or recite poetry if they like. It's a very warm, inviting and welcoming atmosphere and I'm really glad I finally got to see it.
Later on the evening, we were treated to our Asheville friend Tyler Ramsey (now with Band of Horses as well) opened up by Justin Fedor and more of our dear friends. Everyone was spot on tight and Justin was having a great time. Ian Thomas happened to be performing across the street so he came and sat in on a couple of songs (and ended the night!)
Tyler was..well..Tyler. Sublime, dexterous and emotive. We loved Tyler before he even came near Band of Horses, and it was good to hear some of our old favorites from Long Dream About Swimming Across the Sea to some new tunes. We tried to get him to stay, but he had to get back home. Maybe next time :-)
