It was a little slice of heaven on earth last night when I finally saw a band I've admired for a long time - Toad the Wet Sprocket. They did every song I'd hope they would, and added many I didn't. Not a dud in the bunch and the harmonies and band were phenomenal. I left on a cloud.
However, I hate to include anything negative, but what IS it with the crowds at Spirit Square sometimes? You could tell Glen was really trying to get the audience involved and excited, and maybe they were, but must hid it very well. Even the front row sat completely still. How do people expect the bands to put forth 110% effort and excitement, when the audience doesn't do so in return? There's a dynamic involved in live shows and I wish more at these theatre type shows would understand it too. It would make for an even greater show for each and every one.
