A very memorable, moonlit, outdoor house concert. I would say it was the best show by this foursome I've ever seen. Rufus & Cyndi Smith have a perfect setting for an outdoor, intimate show, complete with built-in patio staging, lighting AND a great sounding PA. Rick, Kevin, JD & Angelo played the tightest set, and were SO warmly received by the 30-40 or so music fans in attendance. As always, not only did the "classics" shine brightly, the new songs, like "Long Awaited Ride" for one, hit their mark and were strong contenders for yet some of Rick's finest work. Even the special song, "Rufus of Bethlehem," in honor of the host for the evening, ranks up there with some of his best. Yes, it was a very special evening and I felt priveleged to be a part of the fine folks and amazing concert in Bethlehem, North Carolina. I hope we can do this again.
