There's a reason Josh & Eliot (The Brilliant Inventions)
got the whole opening slot tonight. Their fanbase is growing, and even
two hours is just barely enough to get in most of their great songs.
I've talked about them before, and others before and after me will as
well, but you'd be hard-pressed to find two other men, unrelated, who
harmonize so well and have such a blend of musicianship, songwriting,
warmth and humor. They first did a little mini-concert of a couple of
songs for our neighbors and friends in the backyard yard, and instantly
sold them. We had 5 more come out to the show from those 2 songs, and
sold more CDs as well. I can't imagine anyone who has the CDs to not
have them on repeat for a very long time. The songs are so catchy, and
if you go to the shows you'll leave with a smile on your face, a song
in your heart and a vow to tell your friends to come with you the next
time.
We were able to stick around for a few minutes to catch our friends in Hot Hand Spirits again. Hard to leave when the music is drawing you in and enticing you to dance along with the whole room. They are one funky band, and I caught those lead guitar licks that add that extra power to this talented band.
