A pretty
rich and fulfilling day. Daughter and I learned and practiced some
massage and yoga techniques together in this VERY warm and inviting and
comfortable setting at Sangata Yoga & Massage.
A few hour's later, Don and I ventured to Pura Vida to get my fill of heartfelt, exquisitely written, empassioned songs by the ever prolific Rick Spreitzer (joined by JD Wilson). Micah Schnabel (Two Cow Garage) & his brother Matthew joined us near the end before his solo show at Prevue. We had a bite together at Thomas Street before Rick went one way and we went to NoDa.
And then a super pleasant surprise greeted us at Prevue. Not only did it sound very good, but Micah blew everyone away. At first the unfamiliarity was a distraction, but by the 2nd or 3rd song, wow he grabbed and held the attention of everyone in the two rooms. It was mesmorizing and we couldn't have been happier for him .. or selfishly, us. What a great songwriter..two in one day!
We took them home with us and again got to know and hang with some very special people. I can't wait until he returns to town.
