One of the last times we'll see Rick at this location. A lot of fond memories and good music and delicious Chai was had here. Pura Vida is hoping to be in their new location in NoDa beginning Sept. 1st.
Rick & the band sounded stronger than they have in a while here. Donny as the drummer/percussionist is filling in his role quite well, Kevin is always amazing on guitar, and Angelo is well acquainted with all the songs now to play comfortably. Special guest, Rick's old friend Tom, who was visiting from Austria. Even when Rick introduces his new songs, (about 5 or 6 more this week!) the band can slip right in and smoothly play along. One day we may have another CD, but Rick's having a hard time narrowing down his 30+ new songs since the last CD. So many great ones, it IS hard to choose what to leave out. Until then, we'll have to just see them performed live.
