Sat Aug 28 - Dukes of Sept./Raleigh; Simplified/Pour House; Casey Family

Busy weekend in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill (aka The Triangle).  Dukes of September - Row C Center..good..but not..amazingly good.  Loved seeing Boz Scaggs and hearing a couple of his originals (Lowdown!), but for the most part, there were way too many covers, and some were just too cheesy at that.  But, nice venue and we had a really good time on a very pretty night.  From there we drove over to see, coincidentally, Simplified playing at the Pour House.  Nice to visit with them and see them in another city, always.  Love those guys.  THEN when that was over we headed to our home for the night..Magician Michael Casey's lovely home with his very sweet wife and brilliant daughter.  I headed straight to bed though as I think it was around 3 am when we arrived....more tomorrow...
