There's nothing like a Brilliant Inventions show to cure what ails you. Simon & Garfunkel meet The Smothers Brothers (Chris K) proved again why they are on the road to stardum. Even with Josh's "Gitis of the Larynx" he and Eliot played one of their best shows ever in Charlotte. With family in from Columbia, and fans traveling from Boone and Atlanta! to see them, how could they not? There was a sincere outpouring of love and appreciation from everyone in the room, and they easily fed off that and gave 110% - cracked vocals (at times) and all. The harmonies and humor were still very much intact and the new ballads brought the room to a complete, reverant standstill. It was a beautiful night to be a part of. And on top of that, they have released one of the most pleasant, great sounding CDs you'll have in your collection. We're so happy and proud of these two, and honored to call them friends as well.
Then it was old home week as Austin and his new band and Joshua and HIS new band took the stage. It was a joy to be able to see and hear them both again - and see a new side of their music interests played out in front of the crowd.
