The outdoor patio/stage at Morehead Street Tavern is perfect for these types of shows! The sound is immaculate, you have plenty of seating and mingling areas, your own private bar and, if you like, a few steps up a skyline view. It's almost like a private party. If you want to take a break from the music (don't know why you would ;-))..but there are plenty of pool tables and TVs and more bars INSIDE the Tavern. Such a great place AND it's right on a lite rail stop, near Jillian's. Watch out for great shows coming to this jewel. Of course, with Mark Federal in charge, would you expect any less? I think not.
Speaking of, he told us we HAD to come see this blues/r&b/soul artist Rickey Godfrey, and that we'd really like him a lot. It was a fantastic show. Of course you add behind his soulful chops, skilled guitar playing and colorful stage personality the Part Time Blues Band AND guest appearances by Lenny Federal AND Robin Rogers, how could it not be anything less than another memorable evening of great music? It was well worth going out this Monday night, and then some. Thanks Mark!
I can't wait to get back here for another show in this outdoor patio. DO check it out sometime. I think you'll find it to be as enjoyable as we did.
