Finally got to see a whole set by Simplified (3rd time's the charm). They of course got the crowd movin' and having some good times, good times. I felt much better myself. They are naturals on that huge stage.
Stopped in to have dinner at Morehead Street Tavern (newly managed by Mark Federal) and I had a delicious Taco Salad and a $2 Coors Lite.
Ran up to the Muse to catch the end of Roman Candle (thank goodness they're back!) and meet up with Jupiter One before their set. They rocked it out again and had the best show I've seen them play, with the best crowd there for them at the Muse.
It was also bittersweet in that everyone was saying goodbye to our good neighborhood friend and super fan Johnny Bradley. The shows will NOT be the same without him there. Come back as soon as you can Johnny!
And you too Jupiter One! We loved having you here again as always. Check out K (lead singer) playing violin w/Regina Spektor on Later with Jools Holland too!
Oh yeah - and you may have heard their songs on your favorite video games, or Payless Shoes Ad, or a Mazda commercial, or opening day of NASCAR AND Major League Baseball Season promo spots. Soon to be a household name :-).
