A lot of smiles and good vibes at McCreesh Place,
watching Rick, Kevin & JD jam with the residents there. 2 Pretty
decent guitarists (lead & rhythm electric), and one bassist sat in
and played their favorite covers and blues tunes. McCreesh Place is
"Charlotte’s first single-room-occupancy (SRO) apartment community,
designed to serve sixty-four (64) formerly homeless disabled men with
permanent housing and supportive services." Such an awesome place with
very special people working and volunteering there. Please visit the
website, learn about it, drop off supplies on your way to NoDa/The
Muse, etc., support it however you can. It's a very worthwhile cause.
Afterwards we stopped up the street at the Muse to see The Explorers Club. Unfortunately, most of the band arrived pretty late, and then they ended up only playing for about 35 minutes. I was glad we didn't come too far or go way out of our way to see them. Not sure what happened there, but the brevity surprised everyone.
