Caught John Dungan trying to sing over the very full and very chatty crowd at Dolce Vita (which is not necessarily a bad thing.) Got to catch up with Kia for a bit too. Since this is a cover gig for John, we just sat back and enjoyed whatever he would throw our way, since he can do them ALL so amazingly well. Sometimes better than the original! Add Mike Crowley in the mix and you've got the perfect duo.
Ran over to Dilworth Neighborhood Grille to see CT & Grant perform their very first acoustic duo show. CT's songs and writing stood out very well in this setting, and we even enjoyed one or two of them better like this than with a full band behind him. I hope to hear more. CT has a really nice voice and Grant is killer on that guitar!
Bruce Hazel & Some Volunteers rocked out Snug as they usually do. But my ears took a beating there tonight. Have to give them a rest. Love Bruce & Shawn & DK & Mark though!
