First I picked up Vanessa to take her out to dinner at a fine little Italian Restaurant I heard and read good things about - Zio Casual Italian. And it was fine...fine as wine..a couple of glasses, a grilled pizza and homemade pasta and fresh bread. Delizioso!
From there we drove to our final destination for the evening - Transmission Fields Album Release party w/Spalding Grays & The Stellas opening. We've been working with our friends for many months to help make this night a success for Lee, Jason, Jason, Jay & Neil. Spalding Grays were extremely good tonight, with Donny (The Sammies) sitting on drums. I really liked them a lot and look forward to another show. Transmission Fields came and delivered for their fans. It's been not a VERY long time coming, but they've been working hard to get just the right sound and combination of harmonies, guitars, keys & drums into one tight unit. They've got the formula down...only they stopped without an encore. Leave them wanting more right? The Stellas rocked us into the night.
